A time to reflect and say thank you to the men and women in our lives that have served in the armed forces to protect the freedoms we have in these United States.  A good day to fly your flag.

Here are some pictures of my family members who have served our country.

The first being my mother’s father, my grandfather Frances Berne Norton who served under General Pershing in WWI. 1918-1919.

Charles Ray Ellis, Petty Office 2nd Class, serving on the USS Finch DER328, 1963-64.

Edwin “Ed” Prescott, serving in the US Army from 1985-1992.  I believe this shot was taken while he was based at Scofield Barracks in Hawaii.

I have pictures of my father who served during WWII, and pictures of my step-son Jason who served in the US Army, but I don’t have them scanned so I couldn’t share their pictures with you.  It is a special feeling to know that all the important men in my life have served our country.
