Sunday Stills Challenge – Fabrics

Ed’s challenge for us this week was to photograph fabrics.  Well, fabrics have been a big part of my life for the last 20 years when my sister convienced me to join our local quilt guild in Texas.  Well, I was hooked!  I have boxes and boxes of quilt fabrics stashed away in two closets and in my workroom cabinet!  I’ve made more quilt tops than I can count.  Note that I said “tops”, as I’ve not quilted them yet.  I take most of my pleasure out of design and piecing.  Maybe one day I’ll find someone to do the quilting for me.  The picture that I have selected for this challenge is of the quilt I made for my oldest granddaughter Aliya’s high school graduation four years ago.  I can’t believe she will be graduating from college (University of Illinois) this May!!

Now I’m off to see everyone else’ fabrics. :)
